It is such a privilege to be asked to do someone's makeup for one of the biggest days of their lives and my goal is to take some of the pressure off on your wedding day, by providing you with a friendly and professional make-up service. Where I come to you, so you can relax and enjoy the time with your bridal party, and focus on the day ahead. This is one of the most important days of your life, and I would love to help and be part of it.
Having been a bride myself, I can totally relate to what you are going through in your search for the perfect bridal make-up, and wedding make-up artist. And as your make-up (and hair) will probably be the most photographed on your wedding day, it is important that your make-up looks flawless and you feel fabulous both in front of the camera’s unforgiving lens, and also in person when facing your guests. With many years of experience in the industry and using only the highest quality professional products, I can help you achieve this with a beautifully elegant & timeless bespoke bridal look that will last all day and evening, leaving you to spend more time with your new husband and guests!
While you may be comfortable doing your own make-up for a night out, with nerves on the morning of your wedding, it is really lovely to be able to hand over the make-up brush to a professional. Letting them do all the work whilst you sit back, relax and enjoy your wedding day!
Offering a personal bespoke service, I work closely with you to create your vision of your dream bridal makeup look. Ensuring that it compliments all elements of your special day. My signature bridal makeup style is to encapsulate your unique personal style, playing to your best facial features, whilst at the same time ensuring you still look like you, just at your most beautiful. I feel that makeup should enhance a bride's natural beauty, and not cover it in layers and layers of makeup. Keeping it light, modern, elegant and beautiful. I work with a wide range of people, and therefore, personal styles, from those who never wear makeup to those who wear full glam. Every bride I work with has a look created just for them, their own style and comfort zone. It is so important that you feel comfortable with your make-up, be it a natural, natural glam / soft glam, classic, contemporary, vintage or a more full glamorous look. Plus, you want your fiancé to recognise you as you walk up the aisle, whilst still being wowed!
My editorial bridal work has featured in the Scottish Wedding Directory magazine and blog, as well as some of my lovely brides in their Real Weddings magazine. Sadly, due to Covid-19, the Scottish Wedding Directory closed its doors and is no more. Beauty & Make-Up Service
To help my brides achieve that perfect, flawless look for their wedding day (and beyond!), I would recommend the fantastic Zest Skin Spa to offer our clients a holistic service of beauty treatments and make-up. Having healthy skin is important in general, plus it acts as a base for the make-up, which is another good reason to look after it, as it really does help provide that flawless look.
Not only are Zest Skin Spa's treatments fabulous, but so are their staff – a great team of people who are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and have a real passion for what they do.
The Trial
A trial is highly recommended, giving us the opportunity to meet and to have an in-depth consultation to help achieve the perfect look. It is recommended approximately 6 - 12 weeks before your wedding day, and for anyone unable to attend in advance of the wedding, it could be held just before the wedding date if necessary.
A bridal trial normally takes approximately 1.5 - 2hrs. Trials are also available to any of your bridal party members who would like their wedding make-up done professionally, so that they too can look flawless and feel fabulous on your wedding day. Their trial should take approximately 1-1.5 hours per person. Virtual wedding trials are also available for anyone who is unable to attend a face-to-face wedding trial. The Wedding Day
On the wedding day, I am happy to travel to your chosen venue at the pre-agreed time, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the excitement of the day.
I have a strong understanding of wedding day timings & logistics and working alongside other professionals. And depending on what the bride prefers, I normally work on the rest of the bridal party first, to allow the her to relax with her bridal party. There will be no rushing off once everyone's makeup is complete. As I am always happy to stay with you all until you are ready to leave, for any last minute touch ups to your make-up, to ensure everyone looks flawless and feels fabulous for the big day ahead.
I also offer a full day/evening look service, which includes make-up touch-ups throughout the day and a different make-up look for the evening if so desired.
